The inauguration of the new president was the center of attention and brought a variety of people to the usually calm—and some say boring—American capital. Estimates suggest that Washington’s population doubled during Donald Trump’s inauguration.

In addition to thousands of Trump supporters from across the U.S., there were journalists from literally every continent, countless lobbyists, politicians, analysts, and vendors selling everything from scarves, hats, and flashy jewelry with Trump’s image, to those trading in more serious commodities like oil, weapons, and interests.

For all of them, the appointment of the most significant global political figure and the new resident of the White House was an excellent opportunity to profit.

And that it does not depend on one man, even if his name is Donald Trump.

While we Serbs place our hopes in the new U.S. president, waiting for him to notice us—if only with one eye—the team at Serbian Times managed to secure the support of one former president, and the most famous one in American history, no less…
