Students from Serbia won four bronze medals at the European Geography Olympiad (EGEO), which was held from June 27 to July 3 in Varna, Bulgaria.

Serbia was represented at the competition by nine students – six high schoolers and three elementary schoolers, participants of the Regional Center for Young Talents “Nikola Tesla”. A total of 140 competitors from 15 countries participated in the olympiad.

Bronze medals were won by Damjan Ćuk from the Užice Grammar School, Petar Tolimir from the “Ruđer Bošković” Grammar School in Belgrade, Marko Langović from the Sixth Belgrade Grammar School, and Relja Stanišević from the Valjevo Grammar School.

The Serbian team also included Nikša Ćevrljaković from the Kraljevo Grammar School, Jakov Đondović from the Mathematical Grammar School, Koča Krstić from the Fifth Belgrade Grammar School, Lazar Đurić from the “14. oktobar” Elementary School, and Petra Jemuović from the “Miloš Crnjanski” Elementary School.

Support for the participation of the Serbian team at the olympiad was provided by “Foundation 1%”, its donors, the brand “Najlepše želje” through the “Punim srcem” campaign, and the company “Generali”.
