Popular singer Andrija Bajić passed away today at the VMA due to a severe illness in his ninth decade.
A few weeks ago, he suffered a stroke, after which he recovered, but his condition worsened somewhat later. He spent several days in the hospital while doctors fought for his life.
His wife, Mala Cana, confirmed this to “Kurir” and, through tears and sobs, spoke only briefly.
“They told me to come tomorrow… My life…”, Mala Cana sobbed through tears.
As a reminder, Andrija and his brother Tomislav were among the most popular and most awarded performers in the former Yugoslavia.
