Three students from the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade, Miloš Milićev, Jovan Arizanović, and Mihailo Jančević, have returned from the Mathematical Student Olympiad in Uzbekistan with an impressive three medals.

Milićev won silver, while Arizanović and Jančević secured bronze. The trio also achieved an excellent sixth place in the team standings, right behind mathematical powerhouses such as China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, and the USA.

This was the third student Olympiad organized by Uzbekistan, and last week it hosted 212 competitors from 16 countries. The Serbian team was led by the once-renowned competitor, now Professor Teodor Fon Burg.

Serbia also had another representative at this mathematical event, Professor Vesna Todorčević, who was a member of the Organizing Committee and the international Olympic jury.
