Ilija Srdanović, first on the Student List electoral slate, said today that his Instagram account had once again been shut down at a time when, as he stated, he was calling for peace and dignity throughout the electoral process.
“This morning, I realized, and was informed, that my Instagram account had been shut down again. It happened while I was calling for peace and dignity in the electoral process and for this electoral process to come to an end,” Ilija Srdanović informed his followers via Facebook.
He said he had called on everyone to demonstrate, right through to the end, that society could emerge peacefully from the current situation, but that, in his assessment, some people evidently did not want that.
Srdanović stated that, despite all the pressure, blackmail, and what he described as dirty dealings, supporters of the Student List would remain calm and dignified.
“Ultimately, on October 25 this year, we will bring freedom and justice to this country with a pen in our hands. Long live Serbia! The students will win,” Srdanović declared.
This is the second time Srdanović’s Instagram profile has been shut down, and it comes on the same day that the Serbian Progressive Party and its electoral list, United Serbia, are holding a rally in Novi Sad.
Srdanović’s account was first shut down on September 20, when his follower count had reached tens of thousands.
