PÉTER MAGYAR ATTACKED: Man tried to hit Hungarian president with a glass of wine, Hungarian leader’s reaction goes viral! (VIDEO)

Hungarian opposition politician Péter Magyar posted footage of an incident in which a man tried to hit him with a glass of wine during his visit to Szekszárd, describing the incident as another example of provocation during his encounters with citizens.

Despite the incident, Magyar did not react angrily, but simply wiped his face and continued ordering food at the stand.

In the footage Magyar posted on his Facebook profile, a man with a glass of wine can be seen attempting to hit the opposition politician from several meters away.

Magyar commented on the incident ironically, saying that it was an attacker who “found courage in alcohol.”

“Orbán’s warrior drank himself brave. He didn’t have enough courage to come up to me and look me in the eyes. He must have been very bothered by the fact that everyone was having a good time. What a shame about the delicious Szekszárd wine,” Magyar said.

He added that the incident did not prevent him from continuing to mingle with citizens.

Magyar stopped in Szekszárd on his way to Budapest after previously holding a rally with voters in Pécs.

The incident in Szekszárd was not the first similar case. At the end of July, another man spat on Magyar at Budapest’s Western Railway Station while he was touring the area with Transport Minister Dávid Vitézy.
