Serbian judoka Marko Jorgić won the gold medal today in the up to 66-kilogram category at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, while Andrei Stojadinov claimed bronze in the up to 52-kilogram category.

Jorgić defeated Cyprus’ Petros Hristodolides 1:0 in the final.

Stojadinov defeated Frenchwoman Paolin Cuk in the bronze medal bout by scoring a yuko.

Serbia currently has 20 medals at the Mediterranean Games, including three gold, five silver and 12 bronze medals.

Marica Perišić wins silver

Serbian judoka Marica Perišić won the silver medal today in the up to 57-kilogram category at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto.

Perišić was defeated in the final by Croatia’s Ana Viktorija Puljiz on a “golden score,” scoring a yuko.

Earlier today, judoka Marko Jorgić won gold in the up to 66-kilogram category, while Andrea Stojadinov claimed bronze in the up to 52-kilogram category.

After the seventh day of competition at the Mediterranean Games, Serbia has 21 medals, including three gold, six silver and 12 bronze medals.
