At around 9:30 p.m. last night, an unidentified individual attempted to set fire to the premises of the Serbian Cultural Club “Nikola Tesla” in Melbourne, Australia.
According to information obtained by TV Australia, approximately 20 liters of fuel were poured in front of the main entrance before the fire was ignited. Photographs show traces of soot, burned material, and damage to the entrance.
Thanks to the quick response of people who happened to be nearby at the time, the fire was extinguished within a few minutes, preventing it from spreading inside the building. This avoided major material damage and possibly far more serious consequences.
Police conducted an on-site investigation and are carrying out an inquiry to determine all the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the person responsible.
