The death of a young truck driver from Novi Pazar has shaken the entire region. Bulgarian authorities are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy, while family and friends are waiting for answers about what happened near the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing.
The body of B.L. (24) was found near the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing, at the exit from Bulgaria towards Turkey. The relevant Bulgarian authorities are conducting an investigation, while the cause and circumstances of his death have not yet been officially announced.
According to information obtained by the Sandžak danas portal, B.L. left his truck on the Turkish side of the border crossing, after which he crossed into Bulgaria on foot. For reasons that remain unknown, he moved away from the border area, and his body was later found beneath an overpass.
Family and friends say that after inspecting the truck, they found money from the previous trip, which is why they believe robbery was not the motive behind the incident. There is also a casino near the location where the body was found, but there is currently no official information linking that detail to the case.
The fact that it is still unknown why the young man left the truck and crossed to the Bulgarian side of the border raises particular questions. This is precisely the question to which the family, friends and the public are awaiting an answer after the investigation is completed.
Unofficial information circulating in public suggests suspicions that B.L. was killed violently, but these claims have not yet been confirmed by the relevant authorities. Therefore, final conclusions are expected after the autopsy and the results of the investigation being conducted by Bulgarian investigative authorities.
