Caricaturist Predrag Koraksić Corax passed away suddenly today in his 93rd year of life.
Corax was one of the most significant political caricaturists in Serbia and for the past 26 years, he published caricatures daily in the daily newspaper Danas. His satirical and sharp illustrations of our reality were an integral part of Danas’s pages and covers, and his caricature was published on the front page of our newspaper on Saturday as well, when he passed away.
Corax was and will remain a symbol of Danas and one of the most beloved authors in Serbia. Despite the health problems he had in recent years, he did not give up on his work, contacting the editorial office daily with new ideas.

He was born on June 15, 1933, in the village of Gornja Gorevnica near Čačak. Since 1950, uncompromisingly, shrewdly, and courageously, he depicted our reality with his caricatures and published them in the newspapers Vreme, Borba, Naša Borba, on the portal of Peščanik, Radio Free Europe, and longest in the newspaper Danas.
