Veselin M. was questioned a day earlier and on that occasion presented his defense, after which, at the proposal of the prosecution, the judge for preliminary proceedings of the Higher Court in Belgrade ordered him to be detained for up to 30 days.

As stated in the order to launch an investigation, it is suspected that on May 12, 2026, between 11 PM and midnight in the restaurant “27”, Saša V. and Mario S. as co-perpetrators deprived the victim A.N. of life in an insidious manner.

– First, the victim A.N. was called on the phone by Veselin M. who, as suspected, was in the company of Saša V. and Mario S. and suggested that he come to the said restaurant to discuss their mutual disagreements, suggesting to him not to come accompanied by his security – the prosecution announced.

Upon arrival in front of the restaurant and noticing the vehicles used by the suspects, the victim initially decided to leave the scene without entering the restaurant, informing his friend V.B. about it, but after a call from Saša V, with whom he had been in conflict from before, he returned after about ten minutes, entered the said restaurant, and sat at the table with Saša V, Mario S, and Veselin M.

Following an argument, Saša V, as suspected, fired several shots from a pistol of an unknown brand in the direction of A.N, depriving him of life, and by that publicly dangerous act caused a danger to the lives and bodies of the guests who were in the restaurant, which pistol had previously been brought by Danka V, unauthorizedly carrying it without a permit from the competent authority and handed it over to Mario S, and he to Saša V. upon arrival at the restaurant.

After that, Dejan S. helped Saša V. and Mario S. after the commission of the criminal offense by driving them first to the area of the city of Šabac, then to Lake Dobrodol, and finally to Stara Pazova.

An inspection of his vehicle revealed a travel document in the name of Saša V, one travel document of BiH in the name of Saša V, money in the amount of 10,000 euros, a travel document and an identity card in the name of Mario S, as well as a driver’s license and a traffic license for an “Audi Q8” vehicle issued to the same name.

– The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Criminal Police Directorate and the Service for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, continues to determine all the circumstances of this criminal-legal event and is conducting an extensive search for A.N, whose disappearance was reported on May 13, 2026, and according to the collected evidence, it appears that he was deprived of life in an insidious manner the previous evening – the VJT in Belgrade announced yesterday.
