German police have released a new photograph of a 35-year-old Serbian citizen who escaped from the Duisburg-Hamborn prison at around 3 a.m. on Sunday. According to police, he escaped from his cell after cutting through the bars on the window.

He had been in custody in Duisburg-Hamborn since February 10, 2026, when he was arrested on a warrant issued over suspicion that he had committed a burglary.

His current whereabouts are unknown, and police are conducting an intensive search for him.

According to the description released by German police, the fugitive is approximately 1.75 meters tall, weighs around 75 kilograms and has a slim build.
