At a public session of the Managing Board of Radio Television of Serbia, envelopes containing applications for the competition to appoint the Director General of RTS were opened. Ten applications were received, and it was concluded that five candidates submitted complete applications, RTS announced.

The envelopes with applications for the competition to appoint the Director General of Radio Television of Serbia were opened at a public session of the Managing Board held at the RTS Gallery. Of the 10 registered candidates, five applications were complete and taken into consideration.

The candidates with orderly and complete applications are Dejan Stanković, Slađana Ivančević, Miloš Tanasković, Manja Grčić, and Stanislav Veljković.

The candidates whose applications are incomplete are Ivica Mit, Bojana Janketić, Boris Miljević, Milan Milivojević, and Nebojša Tonić.

RTS states that the Managing Board of the broadcaster will make a decision within the statutory period of 45 days, and that in the meantime it will conduct interviews with the candidates.

The Managing Board of Radio Television of Serbia decided to reannounce the public competition for the appointment of the Director General of RTS on December 15, after none of the candidates who met the requirements of the first competition received the necessary two-thirds majority of votes.

Among the five candidates whose applications will be taken into consideration is journalist Manja Grčić, currently the Director General of the Tanjug news agency and co-owner of K1 television.

Grčić is also known as a long-time friend and godmother of Jovana Joksimović. She graduated in journalism from a faculty in England and began her journalistic career at the BBC.

After working at the British public broadcaster, she returned to Belgrade and became part of the news editorial team of B92 television. Manja was also a public relations adviser at the American agency USAID, and served as director of the company Media System at Pink television.

In 2006, Grčić became Deputy Director of Fox Television, in charge of establishing the entire staffing, programming, technical, and production policy of the broadcaster.

From 2008, she held the position of Director of the national television TV3 Slovenia in Slovenia. Upon returning to Serbia, from 2011 to 2013 she was the Director General of B92, after which she joined Antenna Group, where she worked until mid-2019 as Director of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs.

Slađana Ivančević is the acting director of Mreža most. Miloš Tanasković is a retired economist and former RTS employee.

Nebojša Tonić is a manager in the Technical Unit of Radio Priština.

Among the applicants was also Dejan Stanković, better known as Kralj.
