DODIK: We love Serbia, and we cooperate with Croats in what is our interest!

The president of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, stated today that he and the SNSD love Serbia, are always with it and will cooperate with it, but that they will also cooperate with Croatia and the Croats in BiH in everything that is also in the interest of Republika Srpska.

Dodik said that the opposition’s claims that the government led by the SNSD has better cooperation with Zagreb than with Belgrade are nonsense.

“Political fools can say something like that,” Dodik said in a statement for Srna.

He added that this is not in the sphere of normal politics and that a lie cannot be the politics they are placing.

“The cooperation we have on some issues with Croatia seems necessary and should be further promoted. When the opposition needs to form a government with the Croats at the level of BiH, then they are good, but when they don’t, then they would blame someone else for some cooperation,” Dodik stated.

That, as he emphasized, is not any kind of love and has no emotion as far as that is concerned.

“We consider that we have some interest in maintaining good relations and we keep those relations,” Dodik stated.

“Our interest is a stable and strong Serbia. Our emotion is that we love Serbia,” Dodik said.

He stated that every attempt to attribute something else to someone is almost a total human, intellectual, and political stupidity.

“It is quite normal, if someone comes for a visit to Republika Srpska, for Srpska to react and, as a country that spreads regional cooperation, to relate to that issue in that way,” Dodik stated and added that no one will change that.

Regarding what the opposition is saying, Dodik said they are trying to trick the public.

“I do not believe there is anyone smart in Republika Srpska who could think that, except for such fools coming from the opposition. But that remains theirs,” Dodik said.

According to his words, a lie cannot be politics, because it always has short legs and cannot lead to the changing of relations.

“Milorad Dodik and the SNSD will cooperate with Croatia and with the Croats in BiH in everything that is also our interest, but will also cooperate with Serbia and love Serbia. We do not cheer for Croatian national teams in football, basketball, but for Serbian ones. We are always where the Serbian victory is and we are always with Serbia when it is difficult for her and we always rejoice in every success of hers,” Dodik stated.

He stated that he is surprised by individuals who pretend to be some intellectuals or something similar and then claim such a thing.

He assessed that this has one goal, and that is to pull those who are dissatisfied with this or that to the other side.

“My love, my emotion, and my interest is to cooperate with Serbia, to wish her all the best,” Dodik was clear.

Dodik emphasized that he supports the policy led by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, but that he equally considers that Republika Srpska, which shares a long border with Croatia and political processes in BiH with Croatia and with the Croats in BiH, should find a way how to cooperate equally as with the Bosniaks.

“But, that must never be at the expense of our interests as is done by the opposition which is ready to show servility toward every stupidity and at the expense of Republika Srpska in Sarajevo. Then it persistently sings and shouts in order to divert attention toward how someone else is cooperating with Croatia,” Dodik said.

He added that he has no problem meeting again with both the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, and the Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković.
