The police identified and, on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, arrested three people who, on Monday evening (August 18th), were demolishing the SNS premises in Cvijićeva Street.

As N1 reports, citing Tanjug, a 31-year-old man and two girls, aged 19 and 22, were arrested for violent behavior at an unregistered public gathering.

According to unofficial information, one of these girls broke the display window of the SNS premises in Cvijićeva Street, while the other two also threw stones and set fire to containers.

Initially, 16 participants of the protest in Belgrade were arrested, during which the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party Palilula Municipal Board were attacked, Tanjug learns from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, RTS reports.

Previously, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivica Dačić, stated that there were “a total of 2,300 to 2,400 blockaders who drastically disturbed public order and peace” in Belgrade and “showed with their aggressiveness that they intended to demolish, set fire to the SNS premises, and attack the police.”

Protest gatherings were also organized last night in several cities in Serbia. A group of demonstrators pelted the display window of the SNS premises in Cvijićeva Street in Belgrade with stones. After that, a vehicle with members of the Gendarmerie appeared, who pushed the demonstrators back.

Demonstrators also gathered in New Belgrade, where they were on a protest walk.

The President of Serbia and member of the SNS Presidency, Aleksandar Vučić, visited the attacked party premises in Cvijićeva Street.

“They are trying to destroy the elementary values we are used to. We will resist them and fight in every place. We will take back what they stole from us,” Vučić said on that occasion.
