After the so-called Kosovo Police in Gračanica prevented the installation of a billboard bearing the inscription “Vow of Vidovdan,” workers during the night installed a new one, on which only the inscription “Vidovdan 2026 – Welcome to Gračanica” remained.
The so-called Kosovo Police intervened on Thursday during the installation of the billboard, with the word “vow” cited as the disputed part of the inscription.
The billboard, in addition to the inscriptions “Vidovdan” and “Welcome to Gračanica,” also features depictions of the Gračanica Monastery and the Monument to the Kosovo Heroes from Gazimestan.
The Municipality of Gračanica duly and in a timely manner informed the so-called Kosovo Police about the installation of the billboard and announced the placement of Serbian flags along the main street in Gračanica, ahead of the commemoration of Vidovdan, one of the most important Serbian holidays.
