Dinara did not play its match against Greek side PAO today, even though both teams were on the field at one point, along with the three-man officiating crew.

We will not go into detail about the bizarre reason why the match was not played, but we will say this much – our boys were ready for battle and three new points.

But that’s okay, there will be another opportunity, as early as next week at exactly noon, at the same venue, the soccer field of St. Elijah Church in Merrillville, against the Polish team Jagiellonia.

And today, since there was no football after all, the time was used for good company and building team spirit, with barbecue and beer. How else!

To make sure everything was just right, club sponsor Ilija Savić and Dragan Dobraš, a member of the club’s management board and coach of the veterans team, took care of the complete culinary experience.

We invite all Serbs from Northwest Indiana, the parishes of St. Elijah and St. Sava in Merrillville, the two parishes of St. George in Schererville and East Chicago, as well as all lovers of good football, to come next week and support the only Serbian club in this quality football league.
