Iran’s Foreign Minister promised today before the United Nations Security Council that Tehran would make Israel “regret” any attack on their country.
“Iran’s actions of legitimate defense and countermeasures are over, therefore the Israeli terrorist regime must stop any new military adventure against our interests,” said Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian at the Security Council session focused on the Middle East.
“In the event that the Israeli regime uses force and violates our sovereignty, Iran will not hesitate for a second to assert its rights and respond in a decisive and appropriate manner to make the regime regret its actions,” he added.
Israel had earlier announced that it reserves the right to defend itself against Iran following an Iranian attack this weekend with more than 350 drones and missiles launched at Israel, almost all of which were intercepted in flight. However, Israel has not disclosed when or how it would carry out a potential operation.
