Serbian tennis player Aleksandra Krunić and Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina have reached the semifinals of Roland Garros for the second year in a row, and this time they achieved that success with a victory against Demi Schuurs and Ellen Perez with 6:2, 7:6.

Only one more step remains to repeat the fight for the title from last year in Paris, and two to finally get the Serbian and Kazakhstani women the Grand Slam trophy.

As the second seeds and two-time Grand Slam finalists, Krunić and Danilina were the favorites against Perez and Schuurs, and they justified that role.

What is even more encouraging for the main goal is that the Serbian-Kazakh combination has not lost a single set up to this moment.

The first period on the Simonne Mathieu stadium lasted only 28 minutes, and the question is whether they could have perhaps solved it without a lost game.

However, after five missed break opportunities in the opening game, a commotion arose in the next one where things hung in the balance and probably broke permanently on the side of Aleksandra and Anna.

It came down to a tie-break. Krunić and Danilina had 5:1, the rivals managed to make up for that, but they still reached the second set, and thereby the match.

The last obstacle before the finals will be Kristina Mladenovic and Hanyu Guo or Shuko Aoyama and En-Shuo Liang.
