Members of the Serbian Government have agreed that the remains of Blagoje Jovović, a fighter of the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland, will be transferred from Argentina and buried in Belgrade.

In a statement, the Government of Serbia said that this decision honors Jovović, who is remembered in Serbian history for carrying out an assassination attempt on Ustaše leader Ante Pavelić in 1957 in Lomas del Palomar, Argentina.
Blagoje Jovović was a member of the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland, and the date of the assassination attempt was symbolically chosen as April 10, the day on which the infamous Independent State of Croatia (NDH) was established.
