SERBIAN CHILD PRODIGY CONQUERS AMERICA: 14-year-old pianist Mihajlo awarded in New York and Chicago, performed on one of the most prestigious stages in the world!

Fourteen-year-old pianist from Belgrade Mihajlo Stojanović continues to rack up international successes. The young Serbian musician shone at two prestigious competitions in the United States of America, and one of his performances even led him to the famous stage of New York’s Carnegie Hall.

Mihajlo won first prize at the “Golden Classical Music Awards,” thanks to which he earned the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the most famous concert venues in the world.

His success then continued in Chicago, where he won third place in the finals of the “Chicago International Music Competition” in the “Rising Star” category.

The performance in New York held a special meaning for the young pianist. Playing in Carnegie Hall’s famous Weill Recital Hall was the fulfillment of one of his biggest dreams, as well as an opportunity to present himself to the New York audience. After New York, with his success in Chicago, he added another international award to his collection of accolades.

Although he is only 14 years old, Mihajlo already has over 30 awards from domestic and international piano competitions under his belt.

He is a student at the “Josif Marinković” Music School, where he works with Professor Tijana Blagojević Casarsa, and his performances in America are only part of his international experience so far. The young Belgrade native has already performed in London, Berlin, Paris, and Tokyo.

Behind the results that are attracting increasing attention lies a great deal of hard work. Mihajlo practices piano for at least four hours a day, and even longer when he has more time. Since he does not have an instrument at home that matches his level of playing, he goes to the music school every day to practice.

With his performances in New York and Chicago, he has now added two more major successes to his young career, showing that the name of this fourteen-year-old pianist from Belgrade is already being seriously heard far beyond the borders of Serbia.
