Elektroprivreda Srbije announced that the worker who was seriously injured while handling high voltage at the “Drmno” open-pit mine in Kostolac has died in a hospital in Požarevac. They stated that all circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.

At the “Drmno” open-pit mine in Kostolac, electrical supervisor Z. Ž. was seriously injured while handling high voltage and, despite the rapid intervention of field services and emergency medical teams, died in a hospital in Požarevac, Elektroprivreda Srbije announced.

The statement emphasizes that all circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.

Elektroprivreda Srbije extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased worker, the statement said.
