Dinamo Zagreb fans have decided to create choreography to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the “Oluja” (Operation Storm) criminal action, which led to the expulsion of over 250,000 Serbs from Croatia.
On the north stand of the famous “Maksimir” stadium—where the breakup of Yugoslavia practically began with a match between Dinamo and Red Star Belgrade on May 13, 1990, which was never played—a banner read, “We dreamed the same dreams, we woke up to the same dawns.”
What drew attention was a large banner featuring a tank with an Ustaše checkerboard symbol and a Cyrillic sign for Knin. This is an association with the sign that was removed in that city and is still kept by Croatian defenders as a war trophy.
The choreography had been announced earlier and was displayed before a match in the second round against Vukovar.
