The Denver Nuggets were defeated by the Boston Celtics 103:107 in Abu Dhabi in preparations for the new NBA season.

Nikola Jokic was the most efficient in the Denver team with 14 points and 8 rebounds. The Serbian national team player spent the entire second half on the bench.

Russell Westbrook, who joined the Nuggets this season, and Michael Porter Jr. scored 12 points each.

For Boston, Payton Pritchard led the way with 21 points, while Jayson Tatum contributed 12. Denver controlled the game throughout the first half, maintaining a lead. Boston managed to close the gap a few times, but the Nuggets always responded. However, in the second half, when their star players were benched, Denver’s offense sputtered.

Denver had a chance to win at the end, but Boston proved to be better at the free throw line.

Both teams will play another friendly match in Abu Dhabi in two days. Denver will start the new NBA season on October 25th with a game against Oklahoma City, while Boston will play against the New York Knicks two days earlier.
