A policeman about 50 years old was killed this morning in a café in Krapina, in front of numerous guests who were in the establishment at the moment of the shooting.

According to the portal Zagorje International, the crime occurred in a café located within a shopping center.

After the shooting, the suspect left the building and attempted to commit suicide. He was transported to the hospital by helicopter, and his current health condition is unknown.

“A man entered the café with a gun, approached him and fired three shots, and then went outside and shot himself in the head. There was no argument or discussion. He just came and started shooting,” said one of the witnesses, who hid in the warehouse during the shooting.

According to him, there were about fifteen guests in the establishment at that moment, who began to flee in panic as soon as the shots rang out.

“It was horrific. I hid in the warehouse for about ten minutes, until the police arrived,” said the shaken waiter.

The waitress who was serving the murdered policeman at that moment described through tears the dramatic scenes she witnessed.

“He killed him before my eyes. He shot three times without a single word. He just took out a gun and started shooting,” she said.

She added that the attacker looked at her after the shooting, after which she began to run out of the establishment.

As she claims, the suspect had already been circling in front of the café in a car around seven-thirty this morning, observing the interior of the building.
