The long break of almost 60 hours clearly suited Novak Djokovic, who started strongly from the very beginning and put enormous pressure on the Italian. Serve, movement, everything worked flawlessly…

The second set was a bit more interesting only because Koboli managed to hold his serve until its middle. However, Flavio was broken again in the fifth game, and then Novak managed to get to 0:40 and convert the second break point that came his way.
