The Police Directorate of Montenegro announced today that it had located two Serbian nationals, M.S. and D.G., close to criminal structures, and that, upon inspection of electronic records, it was determined that they did not have registered residence in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Foreigners, which is why they were expelled and banned from entering the country.
The inspection also determined that since March 12 of this year they had been staying in a hotel in Podgorica, while the legally prescribed registration of guests’ residence had not been carried out by the accommodation provider.
Due to violations of the Law on Foreigners, police officers issued misdemeanor orders to the legal entity and the responsible person.
By collecting additional data and conducting checks within international operational police cooperation and the Joint Center for Police Cooperation in Trebinje, it was determined that the individuals in question are registered in their home country as perpetrators of multiple criminal offenses and misdemeanors.
It was established that D.G. illegally entered the territory of Montenegro and stayed without legal grounds, and a misdemeanor report was filed against him with the Misdemeanor Court in Podgorica, where he was found guilty and fined.
Taking into account all established facts, police officers issued a decision to expel D.G. from the territory of Montenegro, in accordance with the Law on Foreigners, after which he was forcibly removed via the Dobrakovo border crossing, with a ban on entering Montenegro for a period of one year.
With regard to M.S., the conducted procedure established grounds for termination of stay of up to 90 days, and a decision was issued terminating his stay, with a deadline to leave the territory of Montenegro without delay, along with a one-year entry ban.
