Radovan T. (56) from Stapar, who was severely injured today by a firearm in the family home in Stapar, near Sombor, has succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of doctors at the General Hospital and the University Clinical Center of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. It is suspected that he shot his own brother, Siniša T., this morning and then committed suicide.
According to this health institution, patient R.T. was admitted to the University Clinical Center of Vojvodina after being transferred from the General Hospital in Sombor due to injuries sustained from a gunshot to the head.
“He was initially cared for at the regional center, where he was sedated, endotracheally intubated, and underwent a CT scan of the head, after which transport to the Emergency Center of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina was indicated for further treatment,” stated the UKCV PR service. “Immediately upon admission, cardiopulmonary-cerebral resuscitation measures were started. Despite the application of all available measures of intensive treatment and resuscitation, there was no favorable outcome, and death was confirmed.”
As we unofficially learn, it was reported to the Sombor police this morning around 9 AM that the lifeless bodies of two men, most likely injured by firearms, were in the family home.
The lifeless body of a fifty-three-year-old was found at the scene, while the older man was in critical condition, showing signs of life, and he was first transported to the General Hospital in Sombor, and from there to the University Clinical Center of Vojvodina.
As we learn, the brothers arrived this morning at the house where their mother lives, and when she went to the store, the tragedy occurred.
