Brother and sister Milanka and Jovan Madžgalj were killed last night in the hamlet of Sokolac in Bijelo Polje, and the killer is Alija Balijagić (62) from Banji Selo, who in the past committed numerous crimes, including rape!
Their bodies were found in the family home, and according to the statement of the Police Administration of Montenegro, the killer is still on the run.
As RTCG writes, the police had been looking for the suspect for the previous 15 days because of another crime, the theft of a rifle. One officer of the Police Administration of the Regional Unit of Bijelo Polje A.S. was injured during the search after the vehicle of the intervention unit overturned this morning, around 2:40 a.m., Vijesti has learned.
This is not the first time that the police are looking for him, because in 2016, Balijagić was convicted of the crime of rape.
He was sentenced in the Bijelo Polje High Court, presided over by Vukomir Bošković, to seven years in prison, after raping a seventy-six-year-old woman on October 30, 2015, in a suburban settlement in Bijelo Polje.

The indictment states that on October 30, 2015, around 7:00 p.m., in the Lješnica settlement, Balijagić assaulted a 76-year-old woman with the use of force and the threat of death.
“When the woman resisted and punched him in the face, he hit her with a flashlight, and then threatened to take off her clothes or else he would kill her. On the way out of her house, he took out a knife and threatened: ‘Don’t tell anyone, don’t report it. If you don’t do it, I won’t come to you again, and if you say so, I’ll come and slaughter you in the middle of the house,” the verdict states.
According to the PV portal, in November 2015, during a robbery, Balijagić took a weapon from one of the houses in his village while the household members were sleeping, and it is suspected that he committed several thefts in Banji Selo, Oklad and Pavino Polje. On one occasion, he also shot at the police, and defended himself by saying that he accidentally fired a shot from a rifle while they were approaching him.
Balijagić is remembered in these areas as a bandit who broke away into the forests, and because of various robberies and bandit thefts and other acts, he spent about two decades in prison.
At the end of the eighties, he was suspected of several thefts in the surrounding villages, after which he moved to our country.
In May 2015, he was beaten by three neighbors, causing serious injuries. Balijagić then claimed that he had calmed down, that his brothers and sisters who live abroad help him financially, and that he wants to lead a peaceful and honest life, even though he feels rejected by society.
