The Metropolitan of Zvornik-Tuzla, Fotije, has joined the list of bishops who do not support students in the blockade and who call these young people, who have been fighting for justice in Serbia for more than six months, Ustashas, state destroyers, and Satanists. Fotije wrote a song in which, among other things, he describes that young people learn anarchy by accepting demonic rebellion, and that their minds have thus become satanic.

The list of Serbian Orthodox Church clerics who do not support the student struggle in Serbia is expanding, writes Nova.rs.

Students in the blockade have been protesting for more than six months to force institutions to do their job – to hold those responsible for the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station accountable. And since that has been greatly prolonged, they decided that elections were the only solution.

However, many public figures support them in this fight, and unfortunately, the list of bishops and metropolitans who, some publicly and some implicitly, are trying to discriminate against students is expanding, comparing them to Ustashas, state destroyers, forbidding them from staying in churchyards, and so on.

The latest in a series of bishops is the Metropolitan of Zvornik-Tuzla, Fotije, who published a poem titled “Humility,” in which, among other things, he describes that young people learn anarchy, accept demonic rebellion, and that they “gain a satanic mind through lack of humility.”

In his new poem “Humility,” Fotije says the following:

“… young people learn anarchy instead of humility, accepting demonic rebellion,
they want to place their throne above the thrones of others, above God’s,
for they gained a satanic mind through lack of humility,
while the humble, through faith, became like Christ, and seek nothing more,
for they found a pearl in the field – Christ the Lord and Messiah…”

Milan Klisura, in the text “Demonic rebellion and satanic mind,” published on teologija.net, pointed out this poem in which Fotije uses the term “satanism.”

Klisura states that Metropolitan Fotije used the “magic term satanism, thereby Satanizing all who think differently.”
