A series of robberies took place on the territory of Sandžak, when as-yet-unknown perpetrators broke into several mosques.

In the early morning hours today, the El Džinan mosque near the “Kvele” building in Novi Pazar was broken into.

During the night, two more mosques were broken into in the territories of the municipalities of Tutin and Sjenica.

“The incidents are most likely related and occurred in the same time period. A certain amount of money collected from the voluntary contributions of believers was taken from all three mosques. The exact amount has not been announced for now,” a source familiar with the case told RINA.

The police conducted an investigation at all locations and launched an intensive search for the unknown perpetrators. The investigation is ongoing.
