The remains of a medieval water supply system from the 13th or 14th century have been discovered in Plana, a medieval market-type settlement and an important mining center in the Kopaonik area.
The water supply system primarily provided water for mining activities and for supplying drinking water to residents and miners, according to the Instagram page History of the Municipality of Raška.
For its construction, 25,000–30,000 ceramic pipes connected with hydraulic mortar were used.
The first route of the water supply system started from the Kolska River, where the spring and reservoir were located, and continued through Ceovište, the main mining area, to the place of Pope in Kovači, where the gold-washing site was located.
