Serbian tennis player Olga Danilović qualified for the round of sixteen at the tournament in Osaka, after defeating the world’s 171st player, Japanese Nao Hibino, in the first round after three sets, 6:4, 1:6, 6:2.
Danilović, the world’s 49th player, took the Japanese tennis player’s serve five times, while Hibino also won five breaks.
The Serbian tennis player recorded six aces, while Hibino won four points directly from the serve.
The match lasted an hour and 59 minutes, and this is a very important victory for the Serbian tennis player who has been struggling lately.
In the round of sixteen, Danilović will play against the winner of the duel between the world’s 48th tennis player, American Ashlyn Krueger, and the world’s 55th player, Greek Maria Sakkari.
