The President of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, stated that young men from RS should serve in the Serbian army and then return and that for this reason, they should be employed faster or receive other privileges.
“I am pleased that Serbia has made the decision to serve in the military, and we are looking for a way for our boys from Republika Srpska to join the regular military service in Serbia. Through certain solutions, we will encourage our boys to go to Serbia, serve their military service and return to Republika Srpska,” Dodik said in an interview for Večernje novosti.
“We will see how we can enable young men who accept this to be employed faster or to receive other types of privileges,” said Dodik. Speaking about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he said that the goal of RS is to return to the Dayton Agreement.
“BiH will not receive any more transfer of competencies. If you do not return to the Dayton Agreement, we are leaving BiH, and letting them call it secession or something else. I was elected to defend the interests of the people in Republika Srpska,” Dodik warned.
