The National Assembly of Serbia voted today to amend the Higher Education Law.

Members of the Serbian National Assembly adopted amendments to the Higher Education Law today, fulfilling the fourth student demand during the blockade, as stated by the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić.

“Hopefully, we can now return to classes,” Brnabić said in Parliament.

The amendments were passed with 163 votes out of 165 present members. During the voting, Brnabić thanked the members of the Assembly for voting and participating in the debate despite the shock bombs and incidents caused by the opposition.

The amendments to the Higher Education Law include a 50 percent reduction in tuition fees for students and a 20 percent increase in the budget for higher education.
