The Denver Nuggets crushed the Philadelphia 76ers 144-109, and this was yet another game missed by Joel Embiid. And another where Nikola Jokic showed why the Cameroonian avoids matchups with the best basketball player on the planet.
He recorded his fourth consecutive triple-double, and he now has an astounding 13 of them in the third quarter alone this season!
Americans are quite meticulous when it comes to statistics, and they calculated that exactly 1,901 days have passed since the last game Embiid dared to play. Embiid has hesitated to appear at Ball Arena for five whole seasons, and this time was no different.

Jokic doesn’t seem too bothered by it, nor do NBA fans, who are increasingly fed up with the Cameroonian’s behavior, who has even started playing for the US national team to win something.
Jokic wasn’t too bothered by the MVP title that was awarded to Embiid either, and now he’s once again shown how to lead an NBA team.
The Nuggets have recorded their seventh win in their last eight games, losing only to Houston, and Jokic this time recorded his 13th triple-double in the third quarter!

In the end, Nikola Jokic had 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, which allowed him the luxury of resting in the final quarter.
Jokic spent 30 minutes and 21 seconds on the court, shooting 10/15 from the field, 2/3 from three-point range, and 5/5 from the free-throw line. He had a +/- index of 21, stole four balls, lost two, and had one block.
Strother was the team’s second-leading scorer with 23 points, Brown added 20, Gordon and Porter had 19 each, and Russell Westbrook flirted with a triple-double with 11 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. Murray’s nine points, along with seven assists and six rebounds, weren’t missed. Murray was 2/7 from the field but was lucky that all his teammates were on fire.
In Philadelphia, Maxey scored 28 points with 10 assists, Tobias Harris had 22 points, and Edwards and George had 11 each.

Denver dominated from the start, although until the middle of the third quarter, Philly managed to stay within 10 points. Then came a run for a +20 lead, which gave Jokic a chance to rest, and his teammates didn’t stop there, on the contrary. They satisfied both Malone’s and Jokic’s appetites by finishing with a 35-point lead.
