Alon Ohel, the freed hostage who holds Serbian and Israeli citizenship, was released today from Rabin Medical Center after necessary medical tests were completed, and he will now continue his recovery at a rehabilitation department, the hospital announced.
“Thank you to all the people of Israel who supported my family and did everything to bring me home,” Ohel said upon leaving the hospital, as reported by “The Times of Israel.”
He added that he plans to continue with his life and achieve his goals.
The musician was kidnapped by the Hamas group on October 7, 2023, from a music festival in Gaza, where he spent two years in captivity.
He was released on October 13 along with 19 other hostages, as part of the truce that came into effect during the conflict.
