Dimitrije Ostojić (27) suffers from cerebral palsy, but that did not stop him from achieving a great success yesterday – he jumped with a parachute six times in a row at the Belgrade sports airport in Lisičji Potok.
With this, he set a Serbian record for the number of consecutive jumps in a single day achieved by a person suffering from the aforementioned illness. With this feat, he is trying to break the world record and be included in the Guinness Book of World Records, if the judges who decide on it approve it.
Dimitrije jumped with a parachute in tandem with instructor Dimitrije Dadić, a former member of the 63rd Parachute Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces and one of the most famous parachutists of our origin who lives in America and trains the famous “SEALs” special forces. Dalić is also the holder of the highest international licenses and certificates in the field of parachuting.
The “battle in the sky” for Guinness was organized by the parachuting club of veterans of the 63rd Parachute Brigade “Arhistratig”.
