A heartbreaking story from Norway has spread around the world, showing that the biggest sports stars have enormous hearts. Six-year-old Denis, who loved football and lived for every goal scored by Erling Haaland, tragically lost his life after being hit by a car in Haaland’s hometown of Bryne.
When he learned about the tragedy, the Manchester City star and his family made a beautiful gesture. They sent a handwritten letter with words of deep condolences and a signed national team jersey with the number 9 to the devastated parents.

“As parents ourselves, and as brothers and sisters, we cannot even imagine the hell you are going through. We know how much Denis loved football, and that is why we wanted to send you this” – the letter said, touching the hearts of many.
The father of the deceased boy said that everyone got goosebumps when the package arrived and that Denis would have been incredibly proud of his idol. Proof that the greatness of a champion is not measured only by trophies, but by humanity when times are the hardest!
