In the settlement of Progar in the municipality of Surčin, today around 10 o’clock, a traffic accident occurred in which an eleven-year-old girl was injured.
The incident took place on a marked pedestrian crossing in Momira Pucarevića Street near number 2, right in front of the “Branko Radičević” Elementary School.
One of the eyewitnesses who happened to be at the scene immediately alerted the police, reporting that a two-wheeler driver knocked down a child on the zebra crossing.
Upon going out to the field, the police patrol established that a thirteen-year-old boy was operating a “Tomos” moped. He ran into the girl (11) at the pedestrian crossing and knocked her down onto the roadway.

According to the law, the thirteen-year-old did not have the right to operate a motor vehicle in public traffic.
An ambulance and police soon arrived at the scene of the accident. The girl was transported to the hospital conscious and communicative.
The investigation is underway.
