Members of the Belgrade police are intensively searching for burglars who, during the past weekend, broke into the premises of a well-known company on the Pancevo Road and on that occasion carried out two safes with a substantial amount of money, “Telegraf.rs” learns.

The theft was discovered yesterday when an employee, upon arriving at work, found chaos in the facility and immediately alerted the police. According to the first results of the investigation, it is believed that the robbery was carried out in the period from Saturday to Monday morning, while the company was closed.

“The scene was shocking. The glass was broken on one entrance door, while the other was forcibly broken into. Everything inside was ransacked,” states a source close to the investigation.

They took the safes, the warehouse under question

The thieves specifically targeted the main prize – two safes containing about half a million dinars. In addition to the offices, the warehouse was also a target, from which they took everything that could be taken.

The police took evidence from the scene that will be sent for forensic examination, and the investigation is ongoing.

The competent prosecutor’s office has also been informed about the case.
