In the maternity hospital in Pasjane, seven babies were born over the weekend, and another one came into the world today. Five boys and three girls are doing well, according to the doctors.
“The mothers feel good, as do the babies. Doctors, nurses, staff—it is all one team working here together,” stated Dr. Marina Jovanovic.
The maternity hospital was opened in 2015, and according to Dr. Jovanovic, it represents a great relief for pregnant women from the Kosovo Pomoravlje region.
“They no longer go to maternity hospitals in Gracanica, Mitrovica, or Vranje; instead, we have our own maternity hospital, the only rural one, in Pasjane,” says Jovanovic.
Milica Arsic from Silovo gave birth to a boy.
“This is my third baby; he was born on Saturday at 6:49 PM, everything went as it should, everything is in the best possible order. This is the third time I have given birth in Pasjane. The experience is perfect, everything is great, I am satisfied,” said Milica Arsic.
Parkiza Celic, who lives in Kamenica, gave birth to her first child.
“I like it here, it’s good. Everyone is good to me, the nurses, the doctors,” Parkiza Celic shared her impressions.
As previously announced by the Office for KiM of the Government of Serbia, in addition to the financial aid that every newborn baby receives from the state of Serbia, the Office for KiM also gifts each new addition with an additional 50,000 dinars as a form of support to families, along with all state aid for every newborn.
