Lieutenant Colonel of the Serbian Armed Forces Nenad Jovanović is the recipient of a recognition from the United States Veterinary Association, awarded to him for outstanding professional cooperation and partnership interoperability, the U.S. Embassy announced.
They stated that the team of the U.S. Army Public Health Command in Europe successfully organized training on food safety together with members of the Military Health Directorate of the Serbian Ministry of Defense, Veterinary Service Center.

The training was attended by 12 members of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as three civilian participants.
On that occasion, Colonel Michael McCown presented the recognition of the U.S. Veterinary Association to Serbian Armed Forces Lieutenant Colonel Nenad Jovanović.
Colonel McCown emphasized that in the United States this level of recognition represents a major achievement and added that Lieutenant Colonel Jovanović earned the award through his many years of cooperation.
Lieutenant Colonel Jovanović is the first representative of Serbian military veterinarians to receive this prestigious recognition.
