Tennis is an interesting sport, among other things, because defeats can have benefits, so Novak Djokovic remained “unpunished” for his premature elimination from the Masters in Indian Wells. Moreover, he advanced two places on the ATP list and as of this morning is the fifth racket in the world.
Although the loss of the match against Botic van de Zandschulp, already in the first round of the 1000 series tournament, cost him 40 ATP points, the best tennis player in the world of all time made the aforementioned jump, thanks to the results of his colleagues.
That is, the greater fall of Casper Ruud (6) and Daniil Medvedev (8), who failed to repeat their performances from last year. The guy from Norway was defending the quarterfinals, and with his elimination in the second round, he lost 190 points.
