Zagreb police have filed a report against Miloš Kos (22), a handball player for Zagreb, who is suspected of physically assaulting his teammate Matej Mandić (22) on November 27th around 10:30 PM, after a match in the Zagreb Arena locker room.

According to the Zagreb Police Department (PUZ), the incident itself was not reported, and a criminal investigation is underway.

The investigation has determined that Miloš Kos, a citizen of both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, physically attacked the 20-year-old after a verbal altercation and severely injured him. His teammates intervened to stop the attack, according to Večernji list.

Kos was reportedly upset that his teammates criticized him for his poor performance in the loss to Nantes, after which the Croatian goalkeeper ended up in the hospital.

His participation in the upcoming World Championship is now in question, and the situation is further aggravated by the fact that the two have known each other since school.

They were in the same class in Ljubuški while attending high school. Zvonimir Srna also joined the fight and hit Kos several times, so he was removed from the team along with Kos.
