Police and the management of the Student Cultural Center (SKC) stormed the SKC building at Kralja Milana 48 this morning, announced the blockaded SKC today.
Students who were inside were evicted, with the “wholehearted cheering and gloating of acting director Slavoljub Veselinović,” who is stated to be a cadre of the Socialist Party of Serbia, according to the statement.
“We remind you that acting director Slavoljub Veselinović has kept this institution captive and inactive for a continuous 15 years, and has spent a total of 30 years as director,” it adds.
The students had been in the SKC building since February 12, when they put forth the demand: “Student spaces for students.”
