Seven citizens of Serbia were injured in a gas cylinder explosion at the airport area in Hörsching near Linz in Austria, local media reported.

The injured are truck drivers from Serbia who were preparing a meal.

The accident occurred when the drivers from Serbia were using a gas cylinder for cooking. For an as yet undetermined reason, the cylinder suddenly exploded.

As reported today by Nova S, one of the eyewitnesses was a 53-year-old citizen of Serbia, who rushed to help his injured colleagues immediately after the explosion.

The most severely injured were a 41-year-old driver and his 54-year-old colleague, who sustained serious injuries. Both were transported by helicopter to the general hospital in Vienna.

Five injured men were treated in hospitals in Linz and Wels.

The police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
