THIS IS HOW SERBS LIVE IN KOSOVO! Serbian diaspora organizes campaign on the streets of New York during UN session!

The Serbian diaspora in the U.S. has launched a campaign during which, while the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly is being held in New York, the living conditions of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija will be presented.

On behalf of the Serbian diaspora in America, Aleks Mitrović told Tanjug that the aim of the campaign is to draw the attention of numerous statesmen during the General Debate to the lives of the Serbian people in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.

“I want to point out that this is not a political campaign, but rather a humanitarian campaign and, above all, an act of patriotism,” Mitrović said.

The campaign in New York is being organized by the Serbian diaspora in America. Trucks displaying footage of the lives of the Serbian people in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija have so far traveled along New York’s most important streets, as well as through the city’s main square, Times Square.

The trucks display footage from March 2004 during the March Pogrom, as well as footage of injured Serbian boy Stefan Stojanović in Gotovuša, who was wounded by Azem Kurtaj on Christmas Eve in 2023.

The footage also includes protests by Serbian doctors in the southern province in May and June this year, what the organizers describe as arbitrary arrests of individual Serbs in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as messages of support for U.S. President Donald Trump in Belgrade.
