Serbia’s wrestling national team, as part of its preparations for the upcoming Senior World Wrestling Championships in Astana, competed at the extremely strong international Valamar Cup tournament in Poreč.

Our wrestlers achieved excellent results among 18 national teams and more than 120 competitors, winning a total of five medals and providing additional optimism ahead of the World Championships, which will be held in Kazakhstan from October 24 to November 1.

In the women’s competition, Milica Perović and Evelin Ujhelji won gold medals, while Maša Perović and Jana Petrović finished fifth, which earned the team third place in the overall standings.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, Viktor Nemeš, Luka Katić and Miloš Perović won bronze medals.
