It has been three days since students from Belgrade embarked on their march to Kragujevac. After spending the night in Aranđelovac, they continue their journey today, with the final stop for the day being the village of Čumić, reports N1.

The Municipality of Aranđelovac, in cooperation with the “Šumadija” Sports and Recreation Center, hosted the students heading to Kragujevac.

Tables with food were set up in front of the sports center, where the marching students had the opportunity to have breakfast before resuming their journey.

A sociology student said they managed to rest and were warmly welcomed by the locals.

“I rested well, and I believe my colleagues did too. We had a great welcome, the locals provided everything for us. We slept in warm accommodations and had access to showers… In every place we visited, we received a wonderful welcome, and we truly continue our journey feeling refreshed,” the student said.

He added that the locals and students from the area organized almost a fair-like welcome and that they were greeted exceptionally well.

They continue their journey today feeling “like new.”

“Yesterday, light rain followed us all day. I think the peak was between Orašac and Aranđelovac when freezing rain started falling. We even walked on the grass because the road was slippery. The worse the weather got, and the closer we got to Aranđelovac, the more motivated we became,” he noted.

Today, they are set to cover a distance of just over 30 kilometers, while yesterday, they walked 42 kilometers.

“It was challenging, but not difficult,” he concluded.
